There was a lot of demand for cheap laptops, because lately, we reviewed very expensive laptops. and slowly we reviewed cheap ones, but I am being asked for cheaper ones. will I get a laptop under 30k in which we can do gaming also. I mean it won’t be a gaming laptop. today we have got from INFINIX. I should get a little side, INBOOK Y1 Series’s laptop this is Y1+. This laptop delivers many good things like a really good 1080p display, FULL HD 1080P webcam, backlit keyboard and premium metallic build. and many more good things, but there are some flaws too that we will cover in this video.This laptop is launched @29999/INR at base variant and a upper storage variant @33000/INR.
Let’s unbox it and know all about it. Here we get a box like this that we have already opened. In that, we get a beautiful laptop of silver color. Some instruction manuals, and a 65Watt power adapter with type-C to type-C input. so you can not only charge your laptop but charge your phone too that too fast 65 WATT. This laptop comes with an i3 1005G1 processor that is a dual-core processor,2-CORES and 4-THREADS, we get 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 3200 MHz clock speed. there is no upgrade option in RAM, It is in dual channel and is a soldered RAM. There is 256GB GEN.3 SSD in this variant, whose read and write speed you can see in front of you. WIFI5 and BT VERSION 5.1 is provided to us. Now you will be wondering “i3 10th GENERATION?” around 30000, but on this laptop, we are getting GEN.3 SSD. in this price point laptop usually get HDD With this laptop, there are many more benefits that I will tell you further in the video. first of all let’s start with the build, here we get fully premium metal build laptop with the branding of INFINIX branding on the top somewhat like this is the pattern. here we get a little top lid flex, see the interior it looks so much premium.
In this, we don’t get a full-sized keyboard, there is extra space left on the side of the keyboard you can say it is an inspiration by MacBook.Here we get a minor keyboard flex too. overall the build quality of the laptop is good, its air exhaust vent is given in the space above keyboard and below display. You might be thinking where are the air intake vents, two vents are given adjacent to the speaker grill. from back there it is almost closed, and vents are at the corners weight distribution is good at this price point, you can lift the lid with one hand. but we get a minor screen wobble, it is not much of a problem, hinge are stable.The thickness of this laptop is 18.2mm, it is neither so thick nor so thin. the weight of this laptop is 1.76kgs so we can’t say it is exactly thin and light. and always can not address it as gaming laptop because there is no graphic card and the processor is also dual-core otherwise the laptop is good and you can carry it in one hand.It won’t create much problem in traveling, the reason It is heavy is because of solid build quality. here we get 10 key less keyboard, it is a same chiclet keyboard so we get a good typing feel.
This is our single color backlit keyboard, which can be adjusted with fn+f3 and also can be turned off. the trackpad is really nice and large enough. it supports multi-gesture and here they have used AG GLASS so we get a really smooth experience in using trackpad. they have not compromised in giving ports, on the left side we have got full-sized HDMI 1.4 port, a USB 3.0 TYPE-A port and a TYPE-C port whose version they have not mentioned. but this Type-C port also supports display output, power delivery and data transfer. then on the right side, we get a USB3.0 TYPE-A port, a headphone mic jack combo, one more TYPE-C port. whose version is not mentioned but this only supports data transfer. and at the end we get micro SD card slot. so there is no issue regarding ports in the laptop, there are all sort of ports. and if stock market people are watching this video for you this laptop can be worth it. because you have to use a normal browser and if you want multiple displays output then you can take one display output from HDMI and one from TYPE-C and one laptops own is there so you will have total of 3 displays, you will get full HARSHAD MEHTA vibes. and now this laptop’s one more good part is its display, we get 15.6 inches display of 1080p and it is an IPS display ANTI-GLARE, 16:9 aspect ratio, 250 NITS brightness and 87% SRGB. and let me tell you my real-life experience with display I think the brightness is too less. display they have given 15.6 inches that too 1080p, usually at this price point 720p is given. here the color gamut is also good 87%, IPS display we get nice viewing angles.
I just didn’t like the brightness, 250 NITS brightness last time when i reviewed their X1 slim and X1 NEO in which one was in i3 and one was with pantium in that we got 300 NITS brightness and 100% SRGB. so there is not that vibe in display which we got from that laptops. but according to the price point, the build quality is better than those laptops and size is also larger so the things do go up and down a little, it’s a display is good enough for watching OTT and youtube videos you won’t get disappointed with the display, and battery backup! the kind of laptop it is, the audience it is targetted to will need more battery backup, like they do the day-to-day tasks if they do multi-tasking, document work or to watch OTT so I got a good battery backup in this. 50watt/hr battery is provided in this and according to it we did basic usage of it like youtube, and brightness was a little low and the keyboard backlit off and doing this we got 5 to 6 hour backup which is really good, and yes its charger is of 65 watt but it supports 45-watt charging. it charges around 70% in one hour, which is a good charging speed. I was saying this laptop stands out somewhere, its speakers are great. although they are 2 speaker of 2 watt each, but quality of speaker are really loud. according to its price point, the speaker are more than expectations.
This is its webcam test and mic test this is the type of mic quality you will get. it is a noise cancelling mic. Its webcam cannot control the light, in natural lighting it gives nice footage. but as i increase the lights, it should decrease the exposure but it don’t and overexposes. like here i have become really white, this is the small drawback of the webcam. on its webcam, we get two white lights, that we can turn on by fn+space bar. so if in the dark of night you need to talk to someone on video chat with the laptop. with someone.. you it can be used in that, it is not so much good, it gives really less light. now let’s talk about some performances, although don’t expect a really good performance. but to people it targets i will explain them what is the actual scene. CINEBENCH R23 scores you can see, multi-core around 2400 and single-core 1000. this is the CROSSMARK scores where there is different scores for different work. this is our PCMARK10 score which is around 3000 obviously that is what we can expect from this. this is our GEEKBENCH5 scores, this is for knowing the capability of the CPU. till now you will be thinking what number am I making you see, you won’t be understanding. let me tell you, you can do multi-tasking in this laptop, we opened apps on this. we almost opened 5 to 10 apps together, the laptop didn’t lag. because it comes with 8GB RAM. and to consume the processor more we opened really solid tabs in the browser. even after that, there was no lag in it.
So if in this laptop you want to watch OTT, youtube and want to do day to day task like documents, website surfing and stock market logins. that all you can do other than that you can do nothing performance centric work. like photoshop, video editing, and even coding also you can only do basic-level coding. if you want to work on app development, android studio that you can not use. while testing this I thought to start a game, we tested GTA-5 at 720p and normal settings. at that we were getting 20-25 FPS only that obviously not playable so you cannot do even timepass gaming but if you want play emulator games like MARIO that you can easily play. or you can play ASPHALT 8 from Microsoft store that will work really fine. now let’s talk about the conclusion, it is a 30000 laptop in which you get 8GB RAM 3200MHz with GEN.3 storage so according to that in pros I would say good display, good build quality and a nice read and write speed that means SSD is nice because of which the laptop will be fast.
I liked keyboard trackpad, i liked speaker quality and in fact I liked webcam too. just there is a little problem of exposure that I told you already. and if we talk about cons then there is only one con that is it’s processor i3 10TH GENERATION dual core at this price point, you can get i3 11th generation that is also dual core, there won’t be much difference there will be a little difference in this processor that will be a little better. so the choice is yours, all the work that can be done in this laptop I have already told you. if you come in that category of work then you can buy this laptop after watching overall good things if you want a processor centric laptop at this price point then there are other options too that I told you. you can check them out too, in them there will be other cons.If you have any feedback or query all that you can comment down will meet soon till then bye!!!
