Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Unboxing And Review

Friends, I’ve used this laptop since it came to us some days ago. It’s one of the best display & performance laptops! We’ll talk about it now, let’s just quickly open up the Asus Zenbook 14 2022 Edition. The display is great & we’ll see that soon! Unboxing – There’s something under the top lid. If you buy this laptop, then you’ll also get a Zenbook case. It’s very nice. I’ll say it’s a premium laptop but its pricing starts from a budget category. So even you can get this laptop at a budget price. If you’re interested in a powerful laptop, you’ll like this. It has a case & comes with amazing & true to life colours. There is some documentation & a 65W charger.
Let’s keep it all aside & I really liked the quality of the case. It says Asus OLED with 100% DCI-P3, 1,000,000:1 HDR support & 70% reduced blue light with Eye care. It has a military grade durability & is very well built. We’ve already done many Asus laptop videos & I really like their build. This is aluminium alloy & gets a big thumbs up in terms of durability. It has an aluminium chassis & it isn’t very thick with 16.9mm thickness. On the left, there’s a USB 3.2. On the right, there’s a full HDMI port, a 3.5mm jack, 2 Type C ports & an SD card reader plus LED indicators. Both sides on the front, you get speaker grills. There are air vents below to keep it cool. This gen laptop comes with a changed urgo hinge. It’s round to open the laptop at 180 degrees. Ershad is a huge MacBook Air fan. He’s making a full video which will be uploaded on Trakin Tech English. But after using this laptop, he literally shifted to this due to the better display. Because Asus is trying to push OLED screen panels. It’s almost like a flagship smartphone display but much bigger. It has a 14″ OLED display with 90Hz fast refresh rate & good colour accuracy.
It has a 550nits brightness which is very bright. Its performance includes 12th gen like i5 & i7 Intel CPUs. The base specification is 16GB RAM variant & it’s priced around Rs 75-80k up to Rs 1.70L. Talking about the price, it also comes in a Special Edition! It’s a Space Edition & it comes with a 3.5″ OLED (secondary) display. All other specs, including the display are the same. And it comes with a space grade durability. This space edition is made in the honour of Asus’ 1st laptop sent to space that worked there for around 600 days. Battery – This is an evo certified battery that lasts long for upto 9 hours in a day. So it has a long lasting battery with a 65W charger. Being an OLED panel, there might be pixel burning issues which have been covered by Asus. eg) The laptop ships in Dark Mode for less/no pixel burning. The screen saver changes due to pixel shift technology. And they also give you 7000 hours of warranty. So the display is very nice! Keyboard – It has a 1.4mm key travel & the key distance is less & good too. It’s a nice membrane keyboard. But the arrow/navigation keys are very small. As you noticed there’s no number pad on the keyboard. The touchpad itself has numbers. In fact, Ershad loved this touchpad & it’s very useful. It looks gimmicky but it’s not.
It’s completely functional. Multimedia – The speakers & video look great & you’re going to enjoy it a lot! It has a reflective screen but the colours look great. The audio is slightly above average. They’re Harman-Kardon tuned speakers. They’re loud but sound hollow. Overall the multimedia experience gets a big thumbs up. Connectivity – There’s latest WiFi 6E & BT 5.2 There’s no dedicated graphics card so editors/designers won’t be able to use it. It’s a productivity laptop & it has an integrated Intel Iris Xe. Like I said, you’ll get i5 & i7 core processors on this laptop. The Space Edition gets an i9 variant as well but it’s expensive. OS – You get Windows 11 Home out of the box. You also get My Asus system dashboard where you can change the modes etc. Let me show you something interesting from the Space Edition variant. This secondary screen is monochrome & the main display is a touch screen. Look at it! SUBSCRIBE as we bring such videos for you! It’s a customisable 3.5″ monochrome OLED screen. And a webcam is important so you get a 720p webcam along with 3 microphones. There’s also a fingerprint sensor but the key is generally on the top right corner but it’s not the case here. Like I said, 16GB+512GB base variant, so it has 512GB SSD with NVMe M.2 storage type.
The biggest highlight of this laptop is the 90Hz OLED display. Having 12th gen processors the performance is great & you can look at Asus Zenbook 14 for productivity.
